What women believe that men hate romance? The truth is men don't hate romance; they just aren't very good at it. It's for this reason that it's important for males to give off the impression that they hate it - as it means women are generally more forgiving of men poor attempts to serenade them.

Women face another problem when it comes to "romance": the immense peer group pressure men put on their mates. As the overwhelming majority of males aren't regular Romeos, they take it upon themselves to make it suitably awkward and horrendously embarrassing for those of us who are attempting to make a romantic play.

The mere suggestion that you might get your girl flowers will be met b friends' jeers of "Don't be a poofter" (which technically doesn't make any sense). So girls should recognize that romance attempt is even more never racking, as men have to deal with the reactions of not only men partner, but men antagonizing mates as well.

The verdict: It should be noted that men don't actually think romance is Lame - they just give off that impression to free themselves from the pressure of being bad at it.
