Dog Basic Training

Having a well-trained dog means you can do so much more together such as going to the park and knowing that when you call, you furry friend will come back. Basic training is all that's needed, but for it to be effective, it must be done well.

Start with "Come". This command is important because, once your dog has come to you and is giving you his attention, you can then lead on to other commands. To get your dog to "Come", follow these steps:

Get his attention: Wave your arms, make a noise, and call his name. Then only say the word "Come" once he is coming towards you.

And when he reaches you, reward him with pats and food treats.
