Saturday afternoon shopping can be a stressful event. Sales persons who seem to know less then you know yourself, about the product, and start asking you about the facts. Minimizing the pain, I like to introduce you to my top ten buy-smart tricks.Save on blush; get a great glow with a blusher from the any shop for not that much money. Miss Teen or Cute Press are inexpensive brands that deliver pretty colors and fine textures.
Be ingredient savvy, famous skin creams often contain the same or similar ingredients to their cult equivalents. Blindly buying a cream from a sales person who knows nothing at all about skin care is less then smart.
Skin cleansers stay on your face for less then a minute, so why spend a fortune on them. Personal I never seen a professional make-up artist using anything else then the very basic, mostly some fast wipes.
For mascaras, most mascara last only three months, and I like to change mine every month so it's really fresh. For my experience a one month less famous brand name is easier then a 3 month old expensive one.
For foundation, this should be the most costly product in your kit. It's called foundation as it sets the scene for the rest of your make-up, so it's really worth buying something good. But not go for just any product, test it on you skin, skin irritation by foundation is not uncommon.
For flourish and nourish you skin, never scrimp on moisturizer - buy the best you can afford, but also buy smart. Personal I prefer Nivea face care products, they not pricy and my skin feel great. For buying scrubs, don't be too sticky. Bargain basement brands can be "too grainy and rough" you can do more harm then good with some cheap products.
Fashion colors, when buying make-up that beauty expert's call "high trend", proceed as you would with your clothing fashion. A metallic green eye-shadow is like a pink denim jacket - it's only going to be cool for one short period, so why spend over the odds?
Large shopping malls are perfect for daily cosmetic needs, "unless you're after an unusual texture or intense pigment," most make-up textures are fine and delicate. If you want a dramatic finish, visit a professional make-up shop. As alternative, I found some amazing colors at specialized party shops that sell party dresses and accessories.
For our lips, you get probably the best deals at the larger department stores. Be it long-lasting, spangle, sheer, moisturizing or matte, the perfect lips are out there and it seems there is always some sort of promotion.
