Plum and Nectarine Compote

Food & DrinkMake a batch of this fruit compote and store it in the fridge, ready to serve each morning with oats or muesli. This compote can also be cooked over low heat on the stove. If you like spices, stir in ½ teaspoon mixed spice, cinnamon or nutmeg or add a vanilla pod and lemon or orange zest.

Let's check it out, what you need for this menu (serves for 4 persons); 500 grams of plums, halved and pitted; 500 grams of nectarines, halved and pitted; and 2 tablespoon of light brown sugar.

After you put the prepared fruit in an oven proof dish, sprinkle with the sugar an add 200 milliliters of water. Cover with foil and cook in the oven for 30 minutes until you sure the fruit is tender and the juice syrupy.
